Game of Thrones Ascent Open Beta Launch – FTW!

Game of Thrones AscentFor the past 4 or 5 months, I’ve been working with the team at Disruptor Beam and also collaborating with HBO on the launch of open beta for Game of Thrones Ascent, the first ever social game based on HBO’s TV series and George R.R. Martin’s books.

Our beta launch was a ripe opportunity to communicate with key gaming, technology, entertainment and Boston-based media about the game and explain to press (and fans) why it is different from other Facebook games on the market today. After months of planning and prep for our launch, we saw widespread coverage of the game during its launch week, as a result of my efforts.

It was an incredible experience to help promote a game based on a franchise that I absolutely adore and to witness over 100k people who share my passion hop into the game in less than a week’s time span, was amazing.
