Save-the-Date! Boston Festival of Indie Games, September 14, 2013

Boston FIG

The wait is over! The 2013 date for the wicked awesome (I’m biased) 2nd Annual Boston Festival of Indie Games was just announced today! An epic level of awesomeness will be unleashed onto the MIT campus on September 14, 2013.

Over 2,000 people came out to support the independent game development scene in and around Boston at last year’s event. The festival is free and open to the public, providing indie devs the opportunity to show off their games, get feedback from players and win great prizes in the BFIG Digital Games Showcase. Attendees play video games, tabletop games and live action roleplaying games in a casual, inclusive environment, plus attend film screenings and talks. Attendees can also become game developers themselves by participating in digital game jams, and more.

I sit on the planning committee for the Boston Festival of Indie Games and can tell you that there will be many improvements in 2013, such as a bigger-and-better event space at MIT and expanded programming. You’re not going to want to miss it!

Registration and other event details will be announced in the coming weeks. Follow along at www.BostonFIG.com.
